Have I been hiding or what?

Have you ever noticed that when life is messy, you aren't as prone to blog?? I'm hoping since I'm blogging today it will make my life straighten UP!

Seriously though we are seeming to get back on track, we have had to make some changes and re-evaluate, but I think pretty much everyone is.

One thing we had (got to) do was move again, did you notice the again? Last time we moved we said this is it, we will be here forever. That forever turned into 1 year. This time we are looking at the house as the house for this season of life. The girls are excited because we went from country living to city living. Well, we are in the city limits of Adairsville, GA. so it small city living but still.

In fact, the first night we were in the house Chad and I slipped out and went to the Mexican Restaurant. It took us 3 mins to get there!!! At our old house at least 25 mins. So that is a plus, but on the down side Chad has had to give up a lot. Chickens, bees, just to name the biggies.

So how have you all been? (I know I need to visit your blogs, but in the meantime, how are you?)

Happy Birthday Lauren!

Lauren turned 11 yesterday! All of the girls love to eat at the Japanese Steakhouse, so that's where she picked for her birthday dinner. The little hat they gave her to wear made the top of her head look like Mulan!

The only bad side to the Japanese place is it is hard to really talk.

Here are my favorite memories and what nots about you ,

1. When you were little you made this big frown, HUGE frown it was so cute. Loved it, in fact I made sure I got a picture of it!

2. When you fell in the pool it was the worst time of my life. When you started breathing again, it was the best sight I had ever seen! Even though starting to breath also caused you to throw-up!

3. When you started pre-school we realized that you have sock issues! You were so cute trying to get the sock just right on your toes. Even though it drove/drives me bonkers, it is hilarious how picky you are on socks!

4. You love the color pink. For a time everything you owned was pink. I never had to worry if you would like something, all it had to be was pink and I knew you would like it.

5. It is fun to see you in youth group now. You look so young, but you are quickly growing up to be a young lady.

6. You talk the most of anyone in the house, most social for sure! You love being with people and love to talk to people until a stranger talks to you and then you freeze! You are getting better, so keep it up!

7. The girls say you are the mean one and most spoiled. Must be because you are the baby of the house. Although based on those scratches on Kate's arm, she might be telling the truth!

8. You start middle school this year! With Meg I was terrified, she did fine. With Kate I was nervous, and she is doing fine. With you, I'm excited for you because I know you will be fine! Plus Kate will be there looking out for you.

9. You have been sneaking in a little make-up in the last few weeks, and while you look wonderful, you still can't wear it to school! :)

10. Do you remember when the alligator moved and you ran so fast?? I know when you start cross country what will increase your speed...I'll get Meg/Kate to chase you with an alligator!

11. All in all darling, I love everything about you! You are growing up to be a wonderful friend and person!

Honey bees, Sunflowers and Honey!

This is our view from our driveway. Last year they planted corn, which did nothing but cause me to have allergies. This year, row after row after row, of sunflowers.

I have to be honest, I stole three. Good grief that looks bad, three sunflowers. Chad was not a part of it, only I. Even though I feel a little guilt, the smile I have on my face overpowers it!

Seriously, there are thousands of sunflowers.

The good thing is, not only do we get a wonderful view when we drive anywhere, our honeybees are going to have a field day!!
